By using Geo Spots, you agree to use the service lawfully and to follow these terms.

Geo Spots ownership

Except for user contributions and third-party maps, data, software, and services, Geo Spots and its original software, interface, visual design, and site content are owned by or licensed to Geo Spots and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Geo Spots or its branding to you.

Your contributions

You must have the right to submit a label, note, and location. Do not submit personal, confidential, unlawfully obtained, or dangerously sensitive information. Public submissions are reviewed and may be rejected, hidden, or removed without notice.

You retain any copyright you hold in your original contributions. By submitting content, you grant Geo Spots a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, display, and distribute it only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and moderate Geo Spots. For public submissions, this licence includes public display. For private content, it is limited to providing the account service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backups and records retained for security, moderation, or legal reasons.

Maps and location information

Basemaps and geographic information come from third-party providers and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Geo Spots is not a navigation, emergency, targeting, or safety-of-life service. Verify important information independently.

OpenStreetMap data is credited to OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database Licence. Esri imagery and Google Maps content remain subject to their providers' terms and required attribution. Geo Spots does not claim ownership of those materials or of factual geographic coordinates.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, overload, probe, bypass access controls, impersonate another user, or use the service to facilitate harm. Automated access requires prior written permission.

Availability and responsibility

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Accounts or content may be suspended to protect users, providers, or the service. You remain responsible for your use of exported or public location information.

Reports and contact

Signed-in users can report a public spot in the application. Other legal, privacy, or support requests can be sent to the private feedback form.
